Rose Tierney (Canada)
Sieger Show Judge

Rose was born
and educated in London UK. It was while accompanying her husband on a
four-year tour in Copenhagen, Denmark that they met and fell in love with
the Bernese Mountain Dog. She considers herself fortunate to have had the
opportunity to “apprentice” under Ina Olsen of Tertzo Kennel, one of the
top breeders in her homeland. She purchased her first Berner in 1986, her
second in 1987 and the following year returned to Canada. In 1989 Ina
loaned her a Danish Top Producing Stud dog to start her program. She
enjoys working with this breed and the many dedicated people involved. She
is committed to producing a dog that can meet the demand of today’s
society while maintaining the physical ability to work in his traditional
role. She actively shows in conformation and participates in obedience and
has recently introduced two of her dogs to draftwork. She has had the
benefit of showing in Canada and the United States and under FCI
regulations. She has attended two World Shows, in Copenhagen and Berne,
Switzerland. She is a member of the BMDCC, BMDCO, CKC and Ottawa Kennel
Club and Bytown Dog Obedience Club.
Rose has judged
the Sweepstakes at the 2002 BMDCC Specialty in Abbotsford, BC and the
Sieger Show for the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ontario Specialty in
August 2002 in Bradford, ON.
