Sindi Leo
Sindi Leo first became involved in conformation showing with Rottweilers
and was a member of the National Capital Rottweiler Club, the American
Rottweiler Club, Medallion Rottweiler Club and the Colonial Rottweiler Club.
She then moved towards Bernese Mountain Dogs and started with her foundation
bitch CH Degrasso's Harleigh V Legacy, who produced 9 BMDCA Conformation
Champions and 2 BMDCA National Futurity winners along with multiple regional
sweeps winners. Sindi also co-bred the 2000 BMDCA Best In Futurity and 2001
BMDCA Sweepstakes winner. Her top winning dog, CH L-Sin's Dream's and
Desire's, was breeder, owner, handled, was ranked in the US as the number 1
dog in the breed and number 2 dog all breed. He was the BOB and Best BBE at
the 2002 Eukanuba Classic Invitational and a group winner in the US. Gunner
also won the BMDCA National Specialty in 2004. She also had the number one
bitch in the US in 2006, who she co-owned with Ann and Bill Daily and who
also won BOB at the Eukanuba Classic Invitational in 2006.
Sindi has judged the Ohio Regional Sweepstakes in 2001, Futurity at the
BMDCA 2002 National, Mason/Dixon BMDC supported entry sweeps in 2001, and
the Warrenton KC all breed match working group in 2002. She also judged
sweepstakes at the BMDCO Regional in Bradford Ontario in 2005.
Sindi is married and has four children, three which are grown adults. She
also has one grandchild. Sindi worked with the Prince William County Police
Department for 25 years. The highlights of her police career were being the
primary crime scene technician in the Bobbit case and being involved in the
Sniper case. Her husband retired from the same department and is currently
employed as a Deputy Sheriff with the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office which
is the county they live, in Virginia.
