Specialty Draft Test Judge
Raymond “Tubby” Miller (Canada)

Tubby Miller has been training his Newfies in Obedience, Draft Work, Water
Rescue Work, and Agility for better than thirty years. He has been
teaching all-breed obedience classes for over twenty-seven years, while
entering obedience, draft, and water tests from Winnipeg to Vancouver and
New York State to California.
In
1989, he put the second and third D.D.X titles on dogs in Canada, both on
the same day in Vancouver.
Tubby has judged Draft tests in Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton,
Seattle and Portland. He was asked to judge a Draft test at the
Newfoundland Dog Club of American Specialty show in April 2004 in
Wisconsin and Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada Specialty show in July
2004.
Tubby would like to thank the BMDCC for inviting him and to wish good luck
to all exhibitors.
Addendum from BMDCC 2004 Specialty Chair Wanda Tait: It
was Tubby who approached me years ago and suggested that we should get
Berners involved in Drafting in Alberta. He willingly shared his love of
the work and his many years of experience on several occasions at our
local draft demonstrations and clinics. It is largely due to his
enthusiasm and dedication to drafting that we see so many Alberta Berners
in Draft Tests today. Thank you Tubby!!
