Wolf Grabner, Canada
Specialty Draft Test Judge

Wolf came to a late start with dogs. Not being able to
have one as a child, he made up for it in later life. His first dog in
1969, Saba was a Saint Bernard. His next dog was a rescue Newfie,
MacGregor. After that came, Magic another rescue Newfie. So no stranger to
big working dogs, the Grabner household welcomed Odie, their first Berner
in 1996. The rest is history. Odie taught the Grabners everything there is
to know about dog shows, obedience trials, drafting, agility and herding.
It has been down hill since then. Wolf owns seven Berners and four Goldens.
He actively shows, is embarrassed in obedience trials, loves to draft and
compete in agility. Herding is not an issue as the dogs have plenty of
SPCA rescue goats, sheep and fowl to practice on.
The Grabners have been breeding since 1999. Their kennel
goal is to have 50% of their progeny as Working Dog titled. They have not
been disappointed as a good proportion of their puppy owners have also
been willing to be embarrassed in the ring as only Berner owners can be.
They are proud of their working dogs.
Wolf has been judging since 2001. He wishes all
competitors GOOD LUCK.
